I was thinking about BG2 today and how it was the other characters (Minsc, Jahiera, Etc.) that really made that game great for me, not the story (which was OK, but not stellar.)

I think that's why I haven't finished IWD...the lack of interaction makes it feel like a solo game...with 5 other solo, mute players following me around.

So I then started thinking about NWN...

I'm playing through several mods and have seen henchmen that are more developed than the OC, but nowhere neat BG2 level.

Are there any mods that have really well-developed henchmen? Bioware or user made?

    Thanks!

I think very few games have as good interaction as BG2 (except Planescape: Torment, which is much better). Designing in such interactions is quite a feat.

Bioware NPC's: Deekin is quite chatty in both SoU and HotU. He's a fairly well written character.

I also like Nathyrra in HotU. She actually does make comments in different areas and has a couple of interaction with the PC and Deekin.

Fan made: Both the HeX coda 01 and A Dance With Rogues had interesting interactions with henchmen (be warned, A Dance with Rogues has very mature themes).

I've heard henchmen interaction is a strength for: Tortured Hearts (I and II); Shadowlords, Dreamcatcher, and Demon; and Tales of Anterra (The Lost and The Awakening).
