okay, i've never played a modded PS:T game and it's been around 2 years since my last game so i'm ready to give it another go.

but what order do i install the mods in? i tried installing a few of them just now, but right after, my game wouldn't run. when i hit the launch button, it would go to the "program has encountered an error (send/don't send) dialog box".

the mods i have are all taken from the SP links section:

    platter's fixpack
    platter's fixpack addon
    candle quest
    armors
    restored items
    cilantro's restoration pack
    g3 tweak pack

If you installed them in this order then the most probably cause for crashing is that the restoration pack replaces dialog.tlk and should therefore be installed first.

If I were you I'd use Qwinn's Fixpack and Unifinished Business mods, which between themselves will substitute for all the mods you're installing except for the tweak pack and the armor mod. They're both Weidu too and compatible with each other, and if you install the armor mod first they should work with it (I think). They also have more fixes and additions than Platter's and Cilantro's mods, which haven't been updated in years, and they're modular so you can choose which components to install if you don't want everything they have to offer.

I'd install at least the banter accelerator from my tweak pack as well. Everything else is optional (and pretty much everything in the G3 tweak pack is also available in mine), but the banter accelerator should probably by all rights be in the fixpack also.
