I just finished my first run through and so I've been checking other ps:t threads. I keep running across references of modron mazes and rubikon mazes and all other stuff. My question is: how do I get into those things? the only maze I went into was Ravel's.

Also, in the Clerk's Ward, does some of the exotice stuff sold by the lady actually do anything? like the doll of the lady of pain and the modron figurine? I already know about the stuff you need to help the guy at the drug store and the girl in the brothel.

You can worship the doll of the Lady to get her annoyed and Maze you.

You can use the Modron Cube to get into the modron maze, or to torment Morte by talking to it, which is very funny. You'll have to experiment to get into the cube, or there may be someone who tells you the combination. I think you need to ask a Modron about it to get the opportunity to try combinations to enter the maze. But I'm really not sure.

The Player's Maze is the one the Lady puts you in. Rubikon is the Modron Maze.

Going to sound repetitive, but to wrap it up:

    Player's Maze:
You get into this by upsetting the Lady of Pain. Killing dabuses, murdering townspeople for no reason, worshipping any deity (including the Lady herself) and probably some other things I can't remember right now will end up with the Lady putting you in the maze. BTW, you can upset the Lady a second time after you escape the maze, but then she kills you for good (one of the few ways you can actually fail in the game)

    Rubikon/Modron Maze:
You have to buy the exotic item, modron figure, from the exotic item shop in Clerk's Ward, talk to the Modrons in the Brothel (of Intellectual Lusts) about it, then move the arms/legs/wings the right way (I think it is left leg, right wing, left wing, left arm, or smt like that) to get into it.

How do you get out of Mordrons maze? I'm bloody stuck and keep just going around in circles. I have picked up all sorts of weird 'Goodies' but haven't found a way of getting out! Do I need to do something with these 'Goodie' things?

No... those are basically all of the random stuff you would find in a normal dungeon, but completely useless.

To get out of the dungeon, really the only thing you can do is move out of it... unless its set to the Hard level, in which case you can meet the Wizard, and get Nordrom.

I've found the control room thing and set the maze to hard mode for added difficulty, I regret it now as the 'High Threat Robot' things are bloody solid.

How do I get to Nordrom? Is there a set route I should take?

No, there's no set route. You will always enter Nordrom's room from the SE door, however, and always enter the Wizard's room from the SW door. That doesn't mean that they're always in the far west or far north of the map; just that thats where the doors for those rooms are set to.

It'll help if you get a bit of paper and a pen/pencil when you're searching on hard mode as it'll save you the trouble of going round in circles. Also you can just run through the rooms if you don't want to fight all the enemies.

    Thanks for the help.

I've given the game up now, though, because I'm stuck in this maze and bored  .

Just run past the enemies until you find the exit or the boss. It's a bit tedious place, but this way you can finish it in about 10 minutes. Once you beat the boss, you get a gem that gets you out of the maze any time you want.
