    When we lived in Orgeon, we got up one morning and found an emu wandering around the clu-de-sac. Apparently there was a farm on the other side of the mountain, and this one spooked during an overnight storm and escaped.

    I remember something about some seals or sea lions escaping from Longleat safari park ages ago. Their pool was connected to the river or something, and they escaped through a break in the fencing. Not very clever of their keepers
