[IMG] It occurs to me that we might build a nice q&a on the Keep if we keep our questions organized according to level. That will help with spoilers, too.

    Anyhow, here's my question.

In level 2, you pass the demon and enter the portal, only do discover that you've got many portals to go. In several of the portal rooms, you will find demonic entities and a subplot thickens surround that.

These four fights are all hard for my team. (I say four--I have not gone beyond the death knights.)

All four demand very different tactics, as you have wild magic, no magic, overwhelming odds, and those blasted death knights to deal with.

Without giving away too much, it's the one with overwhelming odds that I'm struggling with the most. You can run like Hades through the room and dive through the portal to the North if you like, and that works. And that makes sense role playing wise for my Assassin. But I'd like to take them down!

    Any suggestions would be helpful.

Start at the compass room and go south.

[IMG] ST, I know that. I have the "mad" magazine and the poem therein. The question is what tactics do you use in that very difficult demon fight--the one where they instantly start to beat the *)%! out of you.

I would do much better if they wouldn't cast dispel magic to start. You can't even do prep spells.

And no matter what you plan, you've got Demon Fear to mess up your strategy. So your priest has to have remove fear ready (because resist fear gets quickly dispeled).

Demon fear messes up your life on the dead magic room with the demons, too. Fear-filled adventurers running through a trap-laced room filled with pit fiends and other happies is a quick road to reload.

Maybe if you told us what kind of party you are running around with, we could suggest an effective tactical battle plan.

    I.E. 2-fighters 2-mages 1-cleric 1-thief

Give us a brief synopsis of their level, equiptment, weapons and skills.

Well...you did say, 'avoid spoilers' and then on another topic I gave info and then everyone started cussing at me so it's not my fault. Anyways, I would say use your fighters on the demons and let your mages do take care of the other guys with your cleric and thief defending them.
