Posted on the Front Page and also here is the latest IRC chat with Troika about this game.

A few comments that struck me:

    1) Finally a game has FROST BRAND swords!
Back in my First Edition days, my favorite blade was the +3 Frost Brand, +6vs Fire Using/Dwelling creatures. Back then I used to try to convice the DM that the wizard casting Fireballs at me was a "fire-using creature" ... but to no avail! :thumb:

    2) Combat
A few quotes that caught my eye ...
For some reason, that is appealing to me. I like the idea of beign very tactical in combat, getting to think through actions, instead of plowing through enemies like in IWD2.

    That would be great!

I'll have to see it to believe it! :shake:

    3) Goblin types include (drum-roll)"ninja goblin and a samurai goblin"!
    What were they thinking???

    4) The developers sound like they love the genre and will do their best to make this a cool game. Check out this exchange:
This one had me rolling on the floor ...

I've been mildly interested in this game...but now I can't wait.

    Any other comments?

Mathetais, there's a frostbrand in BG1 and a flametongue in ToSC. Just FYI. :D

Actually, they're in BG2 as well, as far as I know.

35 NPC's who can join your party. God I hope they make sure it's quality NPC's. And not deliver a truckload of NPChars who, like in Chronocross, don't have any personality or whom you don't have any connection with.

Working on my first time through BG1 now. I do remember an ice weapon in BG2, but don't recall it being a "frost brand" with double potency vs. fire creatures.

Could be a bad memory though!

vvvvvvvv on Tal's point below vvvvvvvvv

Being a good paladin, I never killed Drizzit ;)
