I've run into a bit of a snag. I installed BG 1, and it runs fine. I then install Tales of the Sword Coast, and I'm then told it can only be run on English language operating systems. They're both from the same 4 DVD-box set, and from that box BG2 runs fine along with Throne of Bhaal. The thing is, I'm running Windows 7, but I had no problems like this in XP.

Anyone have any ideas what could be done to fix something like this? My language is set to Danish, but that never caused anything like this before.

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600)
    System Manufacturer: Acer
    System Model: Aspire M3203
    Memory: 8192MB RAM
    Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 240 Processor (2 CPUs), ~2.8GHz
    DirectX Version: DirectX 11
    Speakers: Realtek High Definition Audio
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GT 220

The version from the DVD box set is incompatible with newer, international versions of windows. I tried it on no less than three different computers with Swedish Vista and got nix every time.

However, there's no need to despair. Download and install Easytutu (the BG1 game ported to using the BG2's better game engine) and you'll be rollin' in no time at all. I'd recommend you do that anyway, so you'll get two for the price of one.

Huh? That'll fix the language settings?

    Edit:
Yeah, that's great. Easytutu tells me that my BGII version is invalid, even though the version is exactly what the installer asks for. It's a plain BGII install.

Okay, I got it working, so to speak. My game is crawling. I've turned down every bit of graphics, every bit of demanding part of the game I can think of, but it's still slow as hell. It gets especially bad when I hit the Tab-key to highlight items on the ground. I'm not sure of anything else I can dial up or down to get the game moving faster.
