    Can anybody tell me what is in it and how do you open the infernal thing. I've never found a key I'm aware of, and its driving me nuts.

    AFAIK, it's unopenable. I am sure you don't open it during Jan's personal quest. All I know is I had my fighter-thief chug down about 5 potions of master theivery, and I still failed in picking the lock.

    I haven't found a way to unlock it either. IIRC it has a unconventional lock, which suggests the only way to open it is with a quest perhaps... but I haven't opened it still.

    I'm guessing it's another programming oversight.

    Knock doesnt work either? Strange. Knock should open any lock thats pickable.

    My thoughts are that it was maybe an extension to the 'Hidden quest' after you find out he is a mindflayer and so would require a key. There is no key on the Jysteev's bodies and nothing can be pickpoketed other than the usual guff. Is there no way to edit the contents of chests so you can find out whats inside? I bet its something crappy like a silver ring.

    Perhaps it's part of the "unfinished business" mod. Like I said with this many players who have seen this post, if no one knows, it probably isn't openable.
