I did buy NWN before, but couldn't play it as my PC wasn't good enough, but now I've upgraded I don't know what do buy. This is my first 3e game, and I think I prefer the idea of a party, as I like having different people for different skills etc, but I don't know whether to buy IWD or NWN. My main choice is IWD, for the previous reason, and the fact I think I'll get into the 3e rules better by having 6 people to test it on, so I can make different types of characters and try out the different feats and races etc. In NWN you only one person to try it on, and I'm nearly always a mage, so it wouldn't give me as much of an oppurtunity to try out different classes. What I'm wondering is what other people would say? Going on what I've said, and how good thje story line is in both of them, and how fun each one is, so any help would be welcomed!

IWD2 has much better game play and an enjoyable story.

Neither have any kind of replay value but IWD2 is a lot more interesting to play than NWN. The gameplay is hardly of BG standard but it's certainly entertaining.

I have the feeling that NWN is more like roleplaying then a partybased game like IWD2. Since you only have 1 character, you're more focussed on that char and for me that means a better roleplaying.

With IWD2, I feel more like a strategist, ordering his Playmobil Soldiers who allways obey his commands. I truely miss the NPC's we had in BG2, who could sometimes work against you.
