[IMG] How come edwin got so many spell slots? I compare this with my own conjuror and saw such a large difference. Even though i am a level 12 conjuror, but i on'y have 6 lvl 1 spell slots whereas edwin got about 7 or was it 10? i can't remember correctly but he really had much more spell slots than i have and he is ony lvl 10! why is it like that?

What is your mage's intelligence score? The higher it is, the more spells you can get.

One reason to want to take Edwin along with you in the party. Who cares about your main character and what he doesn't have vs what someone else has. The whole point is to create party balance and a group you can work with, not create 1 player that is Mr Beef and the best.

That's like complaining that Valygar gets to start off with a cool weapon and piece of armor when we start off with nothing! Oh boo hoo, where is the justice?!

There are enough items in this game to warrent creating a crap ass character with low abilities and still have him come out on top of the rest of the party and be a killing machine.

Point is, Edwin might be better right now, but with the items you'll find in your travels that won't last long as well, a good point was just made about intelligence, which Edwin has 18. He's also a specialty wizard so he gets an extra spell per level for his school

Yeah, but Syl, he said his guy was a specialist mage (conjurer) as well.

I've always dismissed the extra slots as having something to do with his infernal necklace. Until someone comes up with something better, that is my story and I'm sticking to it!

Edwin had an extra spell slot for each spell lvl in BG1 already.

If you remove Edwins necklace using SK, he loses his bounus spells.
