I enjoyed both ID 1 and 2 and BG 1 and 2, and I've been told that this is also a good game to get if I liked those. What makes it good, is the story better/worse than ID/BG, etc.

Also, how much would be a reasonable price to get it for? Thanks in advance.

PS:T is almost 4 years old. I bought my copy at Fry's (electronics superstore, if you don't know) for $10, and it was bundled with another game (Soulchaser or something). They've stopped printing it, but I'm sure you'll be able to find a copy at any CompUSA, etc. Outside the US I'm not sure, but it shouldn't be hard to find. Just call your local stores and see if they have any copies left.

As far as is it worth it? Oh yeah. PS:T is a must have, especially since it's so cheap.

The story is very involving, and the NPC's you get to join your group are very unique and interesting. Much moreso than the other IE games. You don't have as many customization options with the characters, but that's one of the very very few drawbacks to the game. Get it. You won't be sorry.

    [ Thanks Platter - typo. ]

^ Torment was released 3 and a half years ago.
Not even Fallout 2 is 6 years old.

Absolutely. Other people may add more, and I'm sure that you can find more of the same on other threads on this board, but what it'll all boil down to is this: Yes. For many reasons, for the great story, the wonderfull characters, for the unique setting, for the atmosphere, for the replayability, for just about everything, but the answer is still yes. So, just to recap, if you can find it for sale, buy it in a hertbeat. You will not be sorry.

Alright, thanks for the replies. As soon as I find a store that has it, I'll buy it.

Planescape: Torment has the most amazing, most involving, most interesting story ever written for a CRPG. Nothing comes close to the exceptional quality in the storytelling.

    Definitely a must have.
