I already hate this game before the release

After months of doing the Dungeons & Dragons Online forum news until we discontinued those because of lack of interest, as well as general news related to the game, I have concluded that I hate this game with passion (except I don't care enough for a real fiery passion), even before it's released.

All the babble about faithfully reflecting the pen and paper rules and realia, as opposed to what? -- ToEE or NWN? And what? First, they put the sensibility of character Dexterity and feats like Dodge by relying on the player's own manual dexterity before doing any Attack / AC calculations.

Next, there are no druids or monks planned in the initial release.

Seen the last news, the chat log from Stratics? Unique character enhancements for sorcerers. Speaking of enhancements, they already had something between a feat and a template in mind for player characters.

I'm sure I could come up with more things, even from the last chat log, if I bothered to read the whole thing. But I don't. Add Atari's excellent reputation for customer care on top of all this. Now you know why I hate the thing.

Atari's customer support is the worst I've seen, taking their "popularity" into consideration. Many who bought the new D&D: Dragonshard game have had problems installing/playing the game, and post like crazy at the Atari forums, but no reply from the developers whatsoever. :/

the previewers are optimistic. but heh they play the other games so when it looks and plays like the other games we get an other game.

lets give them the benefit of the doubt and burn them if we are correct. Even atari can learn.
