On my installation, 'HP Over Head' is shown at line 45 in Baldur.ini, ditto 'Show Character HP' is shown at line 66. If you want the usual BG2 display of damage, dried blood color on portrait, set both of these variables to 0:
'Game Options', 'HP Over Head', '0',
'Game Options', 'Show Character HP', '0',

These changes may not take effect until you close and restart BGEE2.
If you are on Windows 10, the Baldur.ini file should have a file path like this:
    C:bad:Users\[Your Log-on Name]\Documents\Baldur's Gate II - Enhanced Edition

I'm pretty sure you can turn that off in the settings or with a hotkey as well.

If that is possible I have never found out how to do that.
