I have a Dwarven fighter and picked 'power attack', which I cannot turn off. I try left and right clicking but no luck. I regret picking that feat as my wimpy Paladin with a 14 ST hits more often than my 18 ST fighter!

That is very odd. If you cant turn it off completely, then just turn it down to level 1 if it is really affecting the hit to miss ratio.

    There's no right clicking involved.

When Power Attack is off, clicking on the Special Abilities icon should bring up the Power Attack icon. It is red, and looks like a sword stuck through a target. Left click on that icon, and you should see six Power Attack icons in a row. The one on the far right has the number 5, the next one over has the number 4, all the way down to the number 1. The icon on the far left has no number. The numbered icons set the Power Attack level from 1-5. The unnumbered icon essentially is a "cancel" icon. Just left-click on the icon you want.

If Power Attack is on, left click on the special abilities icon. You should see the Power Attack icon with the number representing the level at which you have it turned on. Left click on it. You should see the same row of six Power Attack icons referenced in the preceding paragraph. Simply left click on the left-most one that doesn't have a number. This turns the feat off.

If this doesn't work for you, I would guess you have some sort of bug. Is your game modded? Mine is unmodded and unpatched, FWIW.

Could be a bug as hes still does power attack. Its unmodded, and I assume its patched as its part of the 'Icewind Dale Collection'.

Actually, the IWD Collection does not include the latest patch. At least mine didn't.

C, I sometimes have trouble getting my guys to cancel power attack. Try it a couple of times. I usually can get it to let go after a couple of tries.

I, too, am unpatched and unmodded.

Nope he still wants to use power attack  I just downloaded a patch, but nothing changed. I assume it will only effect new games.

If the early part of the game was not so annoying, I would simply restart.
