Spell concept seems straightforward enough: renders caster totally immune to spells from that school whether they be mage or clerical spells...

    Only...
I tried "Immunity from Alteration" to protect vs Meteor Swarm, to no effect.
And "Immunity from Enchantment/Charm" didn't prevent Succubi from charming me. (Although Spell Trap proved an effective protection).

So is it bugged or are they unwritten rules about that spell? (or just things I've missed ;) )

Meteor Swarm is inside the spell file actually an Invocation spell so you need to choose immunity on that school.
Someone with d&d manuals please do check if this is a bug that should be fixed.

For Succubi charm... I can't test it. But consider it noted to be checked and fixed.

Alright, thx for the info. I'll try Immunity from Invocation next time I come across a Lich.

As for the other, since you're making a note of it, I don't think it was Succubi who actually charmed me, but the other demon types with them. I have the French version of the game (I couldn't wait for the 10 days it would have taken to get the game from the UK. After completing IWD, I wanted more of the stuff, *right now*, lol).
Anyway, in the French version they are called "alu-demons", but I'm not sure about their English name. I said Succubi because that's close enough but for bug fixing you need accurate info. :)

Alright, Extremist, I checked my AD&D manuals. Meteor Swarm is listed as Invocation/Evocation, so no bug there.

Also, the succubi charm is not considered a spell. It is a spell-like ability (like umber hulks confusion). Spell immunity will not stop it, but spell trap will. Is this a bug? No. It is not in any school, that's why it won't be stopped.

    Thx for the info.
And now that I think of it, it's even weirder than I thought: I was wielding the Staff of the Magi which is supposed to protect vs charms, isn't it?

Protection from evil does make you immune to all charm spells, however that staff is somewhat bugged and the effect does not work as it should.
