    I just thought this was pretty funny. In the past there have been all kinds of excuses - usually, something like: "There might be a storm in the Gulf!" But this one I've never heard:

    I don't understand that article. It gives the impression that prices are going up because they are using more Brent Oil than the local Texas oil, but I don't see what that's got to do with them producing too much - unless they're complaining about extra storage costs?

    Or maybe oil is like milk, and if you don't keep it properly chilled, or if you keep it too long, it goes smelly.

    And I also don't think 38 million barrels is an extreme amount. Given how much oil we consume in the US - that number doesn't sound like that much. Certainly we are going through millions upon millions of gallons of gas a day.
