[IMG] My understanding is that if you refuse to talk to Jan the first time, he'll never speak to you again. Is there any work-around this?

    Thanks in advance.

It's probably me, but I don't really understand what you mean. The first time you meet him he starts a conversation with you which you can't ignore.
But if you mean you have talked with him and refused to take him in your party you can find him in his house in the south-east of the Slums.

[IMG] Ach, who cares - the danged turnip lovin', funny smellin', ugly-ass gnome! Gimme Viconia everytime. So what she doesn't make her own ammunition - she's SO much more worth it!

What a strange comparison, an illusionist/thief and a cleric. You can't compare them with abilities, they are totally different, except that they are in the same area.

Silver - I blew him off the first time b/c I was doing Anomen's father/sister quest, but when I cam back later to ditch Yoshi for him, he was still in the Temple district but would not start dialogue.

As I recall, that is the way it happens if you don't speak to him.

And BTW, I have to admit that I have never been a huge Vicky fan. CON is too low for a mid-range fighter.

    RESPONSE TO SILVER - BELOW:

    OK. Thanks.

I have just played the part where you meet Jan for the first time again and he askes you if you want to purchase anything. If you answer him that you don't have time to speak to him right now he will stay where he is. I waited a while and then tried to speak to him again and it worked out fine so it's probably a bug in your game :(.

Alternatively, when you meet Jan for the first time (and the conversation starts) you could offer to help him out of his... trouble with a certain official. After this he'll return to his house in the Slums district and you can pick him up there when you feel like it.
