[IMG] This is more annoying than gameplay-affecting...

My Halfling Fighter/Thief (Nim Underfoot - God I love that name!) has the Helm of the Trusted Defender, which I bought in Kuldahar somewhere, I think. Anyway, it's supposed to make him immune to sleep and the effects of fatigue. But ever since he put it on, he CONSTANTLY whines about how tired he is, even immediately after the whole party has rested, and even though the fatigue symbol does not appear on his portrait (i.e., he says he's fatigued when he's not). Other times, he suddenly becomes fatigued (but doesn't whine about it), even though the helmet is supposed to prohibit that. I'm never sure if he's fatigued or not. I have the latest patch, but it didn't fix it. And the helmet gives too great an AC bonus to discard, but it seems to have made the fatigue issue worse.

Does anyone else have this problem?

The patches, even the first one, were supposed to have fixed this, but I've had trouble with it, too. When it happens, I just have the affected character rest one time without wearing the helm. That seems to banish the problem forever. Or at least until I start yet another new game.

There has been talk that there's a significant difference between "rest" and "rest until healed". If you use the rest icon on the inventory page you get a choice.

[IMG] Taking it off and putting it back on again seemed to work foe me.
