Having a problem getting the game to load up

    So I havnt played this game in years and I decided to install and patch it. All that went fine but when I try to play I get an error message that says "unable to authenticate original disk within time limit" what am I doing wrong? o_o

    That's Atari's defective secure-rom. Try to find a no-cd crack for whichever last Atari patch you installed.

    Is this the GoG version? If it's the original buggy hard copy, I'd trash the disc - it's only $6 on GoG and patched to version 2.

    However wouldn't the latest Co8 fix this situation?

    Co8 doesn't fix the SecureRom validation, as that's in the executable and Co8 doesn't replace it, but the GoG version uses a no-cd executable (surprisingly), so validation should not be an issue for GoG ToEE. It's hit-or-miss with regular non-GoG ToEE.
