Has anyone tried a single character game?

How about 1 or 2 levels of paladin and the rest sorceress? you get to have extremely high saves
I tried the Cleric/paladin thingy too, to get proficiencies and so that my Aasimar cleric can use his high charisma to saves, he currently has the highest saves of the team (something like 22/21/22)

Clerics or Sorcerers are easier for soloing since they can raise undead and summon osme other creatures which are extremely useful...

If your going to solo, start as the paladin, because if you start as the sorcerer, you'll get taken out as soon as you run out of spells!

Well, I'm running a solo game right now. I decided to play an Elf, well actually a drow which was probably a mistake but what the hell. I'm also doing something else stupid, I'm playing a Sorcerer/thief. Not really that bad, but since neither the sorcerer nor thief is a favored class for a drow, I need to keep the levels close to each other or I get even more of an exp. penality.

An other problem I'm having is that I have +2 to character level b/c of the drow thing. My effective character level is 15! I'm a 6th level theif/7th level sorcerer. Most of the monsters I kill don't give me any exp.!

Those problems aside I'm having a good time playing solo. My character's doing fairly well, and I've had suprisingly few reloads. I am, however concerned about Exp. I guess I'll be more concerned when(if) I reach the level cap.

I would need serious solo player advice here.

The furthest I ever went with solo was to take each member of an intended party solo until level 4-6 in Targos export then make the party.

I have thought about a Tiefling Monk Sorcer but...

And that's the problem, what else would make sense. I did a solo Beserker in BG2 and it was easy, but now in IWD2 the choices are so much more chunky.

I am definitely thinking along the Modjahed style "ubercharacter" or powergaming for max survival.

    Sigh. Thanks for advice. ;)

My early solo char that I abandoned a while ago was Fighter 4 / Rogue 3 / Cleric of Tempus X that finished Chapter 4.

Got bored with it in the end and quit.
