It occured to me that it would be really neat if you could pretend to side with Bodhi, but really just use it to get access to her lair to kill them all.

More clearly; is it possible to side with one group and immediately try to kill them all. Or does doing this simply land you with no one to help you continue the real plot line?

I think it makes the game unfinishable, but since I haven't tried it, I'm not sure. I know that when you betray Aran Linvail, you die for good due to a one-hit kill backstab. There are some hella powerful assassins in his room.

As for Bodhi, I don't know...

Killing Aran isn't all that hard. I've taken him and his goons out with a solo charater before without much difficulty.

You can't immediately side with one group and then betray them. Try this with the shadow thieves and Arkanis Gath will appear out of nowhere and kill the PC with a backstab (which bypasses all kinds of protections, even the likes of Absolute Immunity and Protection From Normal/Magical Weapons). Try it with Bodhi and nothing happens. You get a message about being unable to harm her.

Yeah, David W, that's exactly what happens. It's a one hit KO that will spell doom for the betrayers.
