    Surprised no one made one of these. So, what are your resolutions?

    Mine is simple - lose weight because I am getting fat (and old, but I really can't do anything about that).

    Starts with eating slower (I eat really, really, really fast) and trying portion control (not a big part of my everyday diet normally) and reduction or elimination of pasta/fries/bread.

    We'll see how well that goes . . . I love bread. I can do without pasta/fries, but bread . . . ugh. We'll see.

    Just trying to eat less and slightly better.

    My resolution is to finish other people's sentences. I'm not in the Alleys too often, because I'm not a good debater (esp not in foreign languages), but this way, it will be easy. :p

    Okay, I actually don't have new years resolutions. I never have. (I don't see the point starting or stopping something at the first of the year. "I have a good idea! Now let's wait till the end of the year to execute it!")

    Gaear - that's an old picture . . . My hair is a lot grayer too.

    I'm looking to lose a little over 30 pounds by the end of June. Average 5 a month. The first month is always the easiest to lose weight, but the hardest to get used to.

    So, update: Lost 9 pounds in January, 6 pounds in February and 4 pounds so far in March.

    It's been a lot easier than I expected (so far) and I really don't miss pasta, rice or potatoes at all. I do miss bread, but not as much as expected.

    We'll see what happens after this month, when I loosen my stranglehold on simple carbs and allow the occasional bread/pasta/rice back into my diet.

    BA - I eat lots of vegetables, fruit, salads, steak, chicken, fish, etc. I just cut out the simple carbs that I used to eat in mass quantities. It's actually perfectly satisfying (except that I miss bread) and I likely will not go back to eating much in the way of those simple carbs again, as I mostly don't miss them at all.

    I still have a ways to go, believe me, and I don't think a thong will ever be in the picture. Sorry splunge.
