    Community Update #12 | All that's happened and all that's coming

    Greetings Carants,

    It's been an eventful year for everyone, so today we share with you a video - to celebrate all that's happened to the game and also give information on what's coming next.

    ALL THAT'S HAPPENED...

    To sum up the video, 2025 was a challenging but transformative year for the game.

    Early Access didn't launch in the state you were expecting. It led us to pause the initial roadmap to take the time to listen to your feedback and focus on rebuilding the game to better match your expectations.

    Two major updates that reshaped the experience were released, with notable changes like:

    New content - With the continuation of the main quest, new regions, companions, skills and features

    Combat overhaul - With lots of improvements to make it smoother and more dynamic while adding playstyle customization, new tactical orders and features like the lock target system for real time combat

    Visuals upgrades - With the revamped UI, richer environments, more expressive animation, updated character creator, and a full photomode

    And more!

    Your response to these updates slowly but surely shifted and it told us that we were on the right path, and we're incredibly grateful for your patience and support.

    We're continuing to monitor and fix issues based on the reports you've sent in - a huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to do so. Without you, the game wouldn't be nearing its release state.

    ... AND ALL THAT'S COMING

    But that's not it, because we also wanted to give you a glimpse at what's coming next.

    New title
    We realized the name was a little confusing at times as the game isn't technically a sequel and decided a lick of paint was needed. Because of this, the title is changing: we're dropping the '2' and simply naming it GreedFall: The Dying World.

    The game is still within the universe of GreedFall, so you'll still find everything you love in it, from the lore to the story itself.

    You'll see the game's title changing across our social media. The Steam page will also be updated in the future to reflect this change.

    Release date
    In January, we'll also have an important announcement regarding the game's release date. We'll see you soon for more details about that, so get ready!

    In a nutshell, we thank you for being part of the journey. We hope you're excited for what comes next as 2026 is shaping up to be big.
