[IMG] Was anybody able to obtain a greatsword with a +2 or greater bonus at any point in Chapter 2? I haven't been able to find one, even after running through most of the side-quest areas and even sitting in front of the random-good-item chest in the castle in Charwood Village and repeatedly reloading my game for an hour in frustration. I know that there is a Shining Light of Lathander +2 greatsword somewhere in the game, and it would make sense for it to be in this area, but no dice.

I'm still in Chapter 1, but the description in the toolset says that 'the church will grant a boon to a particularly favorable person'. Perhaps you should do a side-quest for this church of Lathander? (/me doesnt even know IF there's a church, though)

i'm also on the lookout for a good greatsword for my fighter. currently, my best greatsword is still the harbringer (forged). i was able to obtain a +3 two-bladed sword, i think it's a random generated weapon and is my best waepon so far - i'm just in chapter 2.

You'll be able to get the Imskari Sword in chapter 2. It's a +2 Greatsword with 10 spell resistance. I got it from the tomb in Charwood after killing the Mummy Lord.

Hmm...either I missed that tomb or it is a randomly generated item. Anyway, you can buy +2 greatswords and even the Dagger of Chaos from the Green Griffon Inn. It figures that I would go there last. Hmph. I tried two-bladed swords but they are weaker against damage-resistant creatures, and since I already specialized in Greatswords, I might as well stick with the tried and true.
