is it just my game, or do gnome females look like male gnomes?

my little female gnome illusionist looks like jan jansen, heh. is this a bug with the game, an oversight or did one of the patches mess things up?

besides the 2.01 patched version of the game, the only other stuff i have is the bonus content, a mod that lets me stash away skill points instead of having to burn every one on level up (more like KOTOR/NWN) and the bugfixes/deep gnome starting exp fix from the ease of use mod.

or are gnome females rather tough to distinguish from the guys?

Personally, I never dated a female gnome before, so it´s hard to say(some people who knows me could say different)... but may be nobody ever actually sees one...even the people from Black Isle...or may be they are like dwarven females(Glimli said they also have beards,like dwarven males), and there is almost impossible to distinguis them(even for a trained eye)...and that´s also explains the very low natality index in the gnome villages(they are at the edge of extintion, just like panda bears).
IMHO, I rather prefer elven females over any other RPG dweller,let´s face it,they tend to cook like hell, but they have mastered the arts of love above all(so who cares about the cooking part), they are decent singer and performers, they like to drink(little) and they are the most rare females that exists in the entire universe: they are intelligent AND beautifull at the same time( and could be the doom of the male human race ).
May be that´s why they are unreal and a product of a febrile imagination(and for God´s sake, let´s keep it that way!!!!)

Yes the avatars are sometimes funny, you can change it via Shadow Keeper found here at SP.

 

I know several girls that have played Baldur's Gate II (though I introduced a couple of 'em to that one). Don't know any that have played Icewind Dale II, though it would probably click with those aforementioned ladies as well. One of them in particular was a real pyromaniac (in game), and would probably have a 5 sorceress (all specializing in evocation and spirit of flame) party in IWDII.

 

I don´t know if there´s a name for that, but I always played with female characters(Diablo series,BG series,IWD series,Fallout,Arcanum,etc) because I like them a lot(and the game tend to be a little bit easier for them,like real life) and they are usually "get behind and look defenseless" in every story.
IRL, they are inspiration for males like me, we are very stupid in front of a beautifull woman,and in the end, they are the ones that call all the shots.

 

I havn't really seen many but I just thought they all looked the same ...
