Who is the new figure welcoming us home when we log onto sorcerers.net? (In the top left corner of the page)

It looks like a she, when I save the picture the given name is globebottom, and has me very, very curious?

TAL - has the affliction that hit Edwin in BG2 affected you? If so, can we help?

[IMG] Those names have nothing to do with the picture. It's made out of 2 halves, one is top, one bottom. (Doh).

As for what it looks like to you... If you take it as a she, that's fine by me. Fantasy means something else to every person. Although it's meant to be a young elven wizard or a sorcerer, if you prefer.
I thought it was fairly obvious, since you're the first person who asked...

TAL - I figured that the name was more related to the graphic than to the image contained there-in. But that could be a cool name for a young mage in training . . .

I like the variety, and it is a great pic. Mostly just curious as to where the buff sorcerer (who I always envisioned as your alter-ego) went off to. Was this younger, fairer sorcerer the herald of big changes to the site? Could this be a hint for things to come? Or is it just a nice graphic.

Answer - It's a nice Graphic, don't read too much into it!

(Being the first one to ask . . . I was thinking that I was the first one to notice! So much for hoping for a pat on the head for my wonderful skills of observation! ;) )

Answer - both. Soon, if all goes as planned.

    P.S.
The previous "sorcerer" was not a sorcerer but Fzoul, an evil cleric of Bane. So I guess it was about time a proper sorcerer is displayed there.

Personally, Tal, I found it far easier to imagine you as the blond bloke with the moustache.

You got the totally wrong picture then, since I'm neither blond nor have a moustache. ;)

[IMG] And the muscles? Are they, at least, similar to yours?

Looks like he had to drag huge books as an alcolyte.

I also thought that the mustache sorcerer was like a reflection of the great Taluntain himself :D.

The new picture is awesome. I find it slightly humorous, and the fellow (whatever he is) welcomes you to the Sorcerer's Place.

    TAL - It looks like the moral of the story so far is that you had two fear factors working on your side;

    1) the ability to ban (forcing us to go cold turkey on the forum! c.f. Addiction thread)

    2) the ability to kick our scrawny arse's if we should ever meet you in real life.

The new image is great, but not fear inspiring! You may have to "beef up" your red dragon instead! ;)

What picture are you all raving about? When I go to the main page, I still get the good ole viking.

I wouldn't have noticed the image had I not read this thread, I always have images disabled (eases pressure on my lowly 56k).

I had a look at it and it looks like a picture someone took when they were dropping acid.

Oh excellent, so now I have another factor working for me, the ever-popular Element of Surprise. This is going to be so much fun... *insert demonic grin here*
