Ogres, giants, possibly trolls... Truth be told I am not entirely sure. In any case, there's probably none of them in BG1 aside from ogres and ogre-magi.

Flesh golems are giant humanoids. Other than them and ogres, I cant think of a monster this weapon will aid you fighting. Better to sell it.

There's 2 flesh golems inside the High Hedge (west of Beregost), they're neutral but you can attack them without angering the wizard. There's also a few in a cave that Safana asks you to search (i can't remember where in the world map but i'm certain that it's in the shore).

As for the topic...that warhammer isn't that necessary, unless you want someone with a warhammer in the party. I don't know if there are any warhammer +2 in BG1.

Yes. There is a warhammer +2

I believe Bassilus might carry that.

Nope, Takara has it right. Bassilus does carry a +2 hammer, and it's a pretty good weapon too.

I compiled a list of +2 weapons in BG1 a while back. The warhammer is definately +2.

I think most mentions are here: +2 weapons

I thought flesh golems were constructs, and not giant humanoids, ogrillions, ogre's, gnolls and half-orgres, those are giant humanoids.
And there are a lot of them.

The +2 warhammer is named Asheena or something like that right? With extra electrical damage? That's the hammer Baslilius carries, and yes it turns up in BG2, in the weirdest of places, I can't think of a way how it got there.

I dont believe that BG makes the distinction. I do know that the +4 vs giantkin warhammer works against golems in BG2, so I think it will work in BG.

Humanoids are creatures who look alot like humans, dwarfes and elvs for instance, giant humanoids are ogres, giants and trolls and so on.

And where do you find this hammer? I found it in BG2, but not in BG1 IIRC.

It's in TotSC. The dwarf Hurgan, in Ulgoth's beard, who asks you to retrieve the soultaker dagger gives it to you as a reward after you defeat the cultists.
