I got back my GCSE results this morning, so for anyone that is interested...

    German - A
    English Literature - A*
    English - A*
    French - A*
    Geography - A*
    History - A*
    Mathematics - A
    Science Double Award - A*/A*
    Graphics - A*

This gives me an average of just under an A*, and the acceptance rate at the college I am going to is five C's or above. Along with three other people I received the highest results in the school. This means I will receive a prize for excellence in October, along with any other specific subject prizes any teachers feel like giving me.

More importantly, a lowly comprehensive school worm like me has beaten the majority of smarmy private school s**ts in the country. Strike one for the plebs!

My maths A was understandable, as the calculator paper was an absolute *****. German I am confused about, as I believed I had done excellently in that subject. My Graphics exam must have been at least 95% in order to drag up my pathetic B-grade project to an A*. Sweet. :)

Anyone else got them yet? Lazy Bonzo, I'm looking at you... (or am I? I don't remember...)

[IMG] Congratulations, Yerril, my friend who is the same age as me (starting Year 10 when we go back to school) got a GCSE early. His school is specialised in IT and Maths, so they take a GCSE exam in year 9 - he got A*

Serious inflation in the grades, or you really have been trying hard.

    Well done though, great grades.

What are you going on to do at college?

Congratulations Yerril, those are some great grades :)

    In my GCSEs I got

    English C/C
    Science C/C
    Maths E
    Home Economics D
    Art F
    Religious Studies C
    French E

I'd just like to point out that I am actually quite good at Art, it was the volume of work required that I couldn't keep up with. I felt like a machine turning out thoughtless pictures. You have to want to do art, not just slap somepaint on page after page

    [IMG] Well done Yerril!

    I got:

    Double Science: A*/A*
    English Lit: A*
    English Lang: A
    History: A
    Maths: A
    Spanish: B
    Electronics: B
    RE: C (expecting a D or F lol)
    Drama: C

4 people at my girlfriend's school got 10 A*'s. Which I think is very cheeky, and if it was a general nationwide thing could make the goverment say 'Oh they are far too easy' rather than 'we have intelligent people'. < yes that was me having a go at the goverment.

I got my GCSE time table for this year...

    I'm taking.

    English,
    English Lit,
    Dual Science
    Maths
    French
    Geography
    Seperate Science
    IT
    Graphics

    Yay! *likes science*

I have 17 science lessons over a two week period time table...
I really wanted to take Art, but you can only take 10 GCSEs, so I might take my art later, My school is becoming a science specialist school, which is good. I want to be a vet, either a vet, or if not that then I want to be able to work with programing ^__^

I want to do all my Homework to th night I get it, and pace myself on my coursework. I've only been back at school for one day aswell...

I only have two lessons with 8people. *sniff*

Grahpics and IT.... (I hope. Shes on holiday atm, so I haven't seen her timetable...)

[IMG] I haven't seen my timetable either.

I hope I'm with Frosty in some of my classes. Otherwise I'll be all alone in my classes. I don't make friends easily and know of nobody in the other classes...

[IMG] On the first day back to school we had an assembly. In said assembly we were informed that our results were the worst year for 9 years: only 96% of pupils passed 5 GSCE's with A*-C grades, and 91% got the grades to come back (6 A* - C's).

Some people say schools care about the pupils as individuals and are here to teach and help the pupils attain good grades to succeed in life, yea right! Certainly not my school (or rather our headmaster), it doesn't matter if every pupil cheats to get the 100% pass rate he wants so long as he gets it.

Last year he finally gave in and dropped his sexist ideals and let girls in to our 6th form. The reason being that girls tend to get higher results and so up the percentage.

Ah well it makes no difference to me, i've never felt any loyalty to this school. I work hard for my own sake, not for percentages.

Heeheee, chalk my school up for a whopping 60%.

It is quite comforting to know that there are plenty of idiots around me who fail to see the value of hard work, who can soak up all the crappy underpaid jobs, and leave the high-earnin' to people like me! :p
