[IMG] Does anyone really know what the gameplay is gonna be like in this game? Is it going to play like Balder's Gate or will it be something different?

Since NWN will not be using the Infinity Engine, the game play will be different. The best thing you can do to figure out what it will be like is to check out some of the screen shots for NWN. These can be seen at the official site, or on any of the many game sites out there including this one.

Now, I got a question about the Pause feature. From what I know only the DM will be allowed to freely pause the action while the players will be acting real-time. Does this apply only to battle situations or the whole game? I mean what if someone wants to go to the bath for 2 mins or sth? Will he have to let the game running?

The DM can pause the game action at any point. In single player, there's of course the Pause key which will pause the game, but won't allow you to change anything, like reissue commands for example.

In multiplayer, you obviously can't have the DM pause the game for the whole world just because someone is away for a while. If someone's away, that's their problem... Logging out at the point would probably be advisable.

So you can't just hit the pause key and command someone to do some healing or any other magic as in the Infinity engine?

Does nobody read the NWN-news that is on the main page? There was something about pausing a few days ago.

[IMG] Lady of the Lake is correct; Pause in Play is currently planned only for the DM. I don't believe NWN will differentiate between battle or non-battle situations for this.

This information gleaned from the front page of http://www.sorcerers.net ;)
