    G3 turns five now, and in celebration of the occasion, we have a few new mod announcements, releases, and updates.

    grogerson releases BG1 Tweaks

    BG1 Tweaks is a WeiDU compilation of fixes, cosmetic changes, and tweaks. Some of these were fan requests, others are needed fixes, and others simply make dealing with the more irritating aspects of the game engine easier. Each component can be installed separately so the player can pick and choose only which ones they wish to install. For more information you can check out the mod's main page or the readme. You can download the mod here or check out the forum to discuss it.

    Jastey updates BGQE to version 4.1

    BGQE is a set of mini-mods for all BG games: "vanilla" BG (with or without the add-on Tales of the Sword Coast), BG1Tutu v4, EasyTutu, or BGT. It adds several small quests and encounters to the game, including the former stand alone BG mini quest mod "slime quest". Version 4.1 offers several bugfixes. You can learn more about jastey's mod on the project page, view the English ReadMe, German ReadMe or Spanish ReadMe, or you can participate in the English forum or German forum. The mod is available on the downloads page.

    cmorgan announces his new NPC mod in development: Aran Whitehand!

    Aran Whitehand is a human fighter and scribe for BG2, dual classable into either cleric or mage. Basically, a human utility player taken along for the friendship/cuddling. "Specials" include creation of minor scrolls through dialog and timer when in a party with another canon mage. Primarily a male friend who can grow into an extended courtship/romance, romanceable by female PCs, Aran has his own sense of humor and specializes in bringing others into the conversation.     theacefes announces her new NWN mod in development, The Legend of the Acefes.

    The Legend of the Acefes (LOTA) is an all new single player adventure for NWN2. LOTA tells the story of a young human in the land of Damea whose life suddenly changes forever when the Queen of Damea is murdered by unknown assassins. The mod is for games with the Mask of the Betrayer expansion installed and will be played out in three parts. You can check out the status of the mod's development on its forum.
