    http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/europe/09/25/france.us.carddeck.ap/index.html

In a new deck of "cards,"a game designed to make light of "the most dangerous US officials," Rumsfeld is the Ace of Spades, Bush is the King of Diamonds, and Osama is the joker.

I'd have to say I agree with him on that one.

This is hilarious! Oh, but wait...I support all fifty-two of these guys...perhaps I appreciate the joke in an entirely different light.

Now, if only these fellas were as ruthless and plotting (instead of rueful and plodding) in real life as depicted in these cards!

I do like how Warren Buffett, arch-Democrat, is pictured as conspiring with the Bush administration to become the world's second-richest man...and that Hamid Karzai returned to Afghanistan purely to guarantee an UNOCAL pipeline...

I thought it was totally sweet. It's completely within my expectations of French men and women. Or at least, Parisians. Joan was a country girl. The guy that wrote that book was completely understandable. There's always been conspiracy theorists that make money off of their fantasy world, just like Salvatore makes money off his.

Long live France, while someone is there to bail them out. I don't really mind. Just like Fallout1; it helps to have extra targets around, even though they are worthless otherwise toward the endgame. Just that many less shots people are taking at you.

I do not like this development. That's just one more brick among thousands, in a strange relationship, which mainly consists out of an obscure small country a few thousand miles away being the boogeyman in the North-American mind.

Don't stress, Yago - this brick, too, shall pass (not to mix metaphors). J'adore la France - it's my second-favorite country in the world, after my own - and I think our own Colin Powell said it best:

"America and France have been in marriage counseling for the past two hundred years."

    Vive la France!
