Can someone educate me? Why is American football called such when you kick only when you punt, attempt a field goal or convert an extra point?

    Back to topic,

    Like: Real Madrid, Arsenal, Ajax

    Dislike: Manchester United, Barcelona

I'm not that familiar with the French, German, Scottish(?) or South American leagues. I don't follow the Japanese or Korean leagues either.

Well,I love Galatasaray  ,we can't race with big European clubs like Manchester,Real, or Arsenal but we have great victories such as 15 Super League victories .........and
Khelben reminds Shoshino about 2000 UEFA Cup Final politely than asks if he went Copenhagen
    ;)
Then says that all were a joke and Football is Fair Play
Then the evil inside Khelben rises and says that Turkey's gonna beat England in both group matches
Khelben tells the evil inside him to shut up and tries to smile
    :D

Man Norwegian football is not that bad with Hyy...blast,Solskjaer,and many who i forgot....
And AFAIK Rosenborg joins nearly every year to Champions League.
EDIT:Don't shoot me :D ,just a misunderstanding about Finnish and Norwegians :)

Hyypiä is finnish, not norwegian. :p
And I think he meant the quality of the norwegian league, not norwegian players abroad.

The person who tried to claim Hyypiä for Norway will soon receive a whooping by the Outraged Finn(me). As stated above, he is and always has been Finnish. And anyone who tries to claim the term "Football" for a sport which is not played with the feet will be the next in line to be horribly mauled by the Outraged Finn. ;)

    As for teams:

    Like: Ajax, Arsenal, Auxerre

Hate: All Italian teams: I hate the style of play. Too little game and too much diving and whining.

Generally, football IN Norway is kinda bad, but some players FROM Norway isn't that bad. Mentioning Solskjær, Riise and Andre Bergdølmo(ajax) ;)

Actually, I have no idea why the term 'soccer' was termed. It's always been football to me. When I watch matches in the different leagues around the world, everyone calls it football.

Because football is the real name for "soccer", American football should actually be called "rugby for sissies" or at least "handball for sissies"

With their helmets and big suits, rugby uses only shoes, shirts, pants and some ductape for the ears else the get ripped off :D man, I love rugby :D

    Go New Zealand :spin:

You cannot completely blame the americans for the word soccer, it was actually the english that came up with it and started to use it.
