I just beat the final guardians for the fist time in Watchers keep - and I have to say they wern't too dificult. What I did find almost impossible was the undead spellcasters just before - most of them were easy enough, but the last one just wouldn't die!

After Minsc and Keldorn died I kept my shapeshifter (with rebalancing mod) in melee, with Jan, Tashia(sorceress) and my pc (ranger/cleric) in ranged attack. I just kept firing breaches and piece shields with the wands but I just wasn't dooing any dammage - I made my bed during the fight and they were still at it. I moved my pc into melee with Crom Feyer and bashed it down to near death but then he stopped doing any dammage (for like a minute)despite the constant wave of breaches and piece sheilds. I then got Tashia to cast energy blades (her last lvl 10 spell) and after a few hits he died.

Has anyone else had the same dificulties with those undead spell casters.

Nope...I was soloing a Fighter/Mage/Cleric...(AWESOME multi-class by the way), specialising in Staffs and two handed weapons.

I just beat away on him with Staff of the Magi. In case you didn't know, SotM dispels on each hit, much like Carsomyr +5...so all I had to do was keep beating on him, and chucking a Ruby ray of reversal or something like that before casting spells at him...and he was toast within 6 rounds. My PC was at full health too.

Tell you what though...the battle with Nalmissra, Ytossi, the Huntress etc was HARD!!

Damn! I had my sorceress using bone blade - and she had the Staff of the Magi in her other quick weapon slot the whole time :bang:
