Every time I shut down this new Vista system my Favorites is empty of all I have added. Does anyone know how to stop this. It is a real pain! I can't seem to keep anything and I need to be able to return to places I have been without worry about the addresses going poof.

Sorry, I found out what wasn wrong. Got a message "no disc in hard drive 1" . Guess what happened next, HD failure. 2 days I have had this comp. Trying a reload. Once! Thanks anyway

The problem seems to have been an old root kit remover, I think. Old folks keep and try to transfer everything you know. Don't know what it was fighting with however with it not loaded everything seems to be fine. What (other) idiot loads a 2005 freeware program wrote for me,xp with Vista?

@Silvery, It's not crap! It's just old useless stuff. Like my 1976 T shirt with my CB handle on it. :-D

I have a T-shirt that is a bit frayed and torn but I won't throw it away. It's more than 20 years old and it used to be really big for me at the time while it's rather small now. That tells you how much I like getting rid of things. :p
