[IMG] The familiar type is decided by your aligenment. So to change it you would need to change alignment. Hope that helps.

No you silly. I meant to change familiars!
As to change the Chaotic Neutral familiar from Cat to say Groundhog or something that isnt a familiar as such.

[IMG] Groundhog?!? Well lemmesee you'd need to create a groundhog avatar and then change/create a spell to summon it and there you have it. I have no idea how you could do such a thing ask some of the other people but it is probably possible, not entirely sure why you'd want a grounhog following you round but each to his/her own taste.

Even if you use ShadowKeeper the familiar will change back to wht it would normally be,

If you mean change the files you would need IEEP and CreatureMaker from TeamBG

IEEP is not necessary for anything. Not even the creature maker. Nothing of a sort.

All can be set with nothing more but hex editor or Near Infinity. Oh, yes, for possible custom dialogs I suggest WeiDU. For scripts (BCS) I suggest Script Compiler you get with the BG2 installation.

And details on what to change? Check here: http://www25.brinkster.com/iesdp/General/Familiars.htm

There are numbers of different hex editors to download all over the net. I still use old MS-DOS based one and I don't suggest it to anyone. It is in fact inside the old util called Dos Navigator (something like Norton Commander if you remember that one for dos).

I don't know anything about IEEP except that it is written in VB and needs VBX to run. And I don't want VBX on my machine, no sir!
WeiDU needs nothing to run except itself, plus in 99% occasions it makes your dialogs COMPATIBLE with anything. That's why I'm using it to modify DLG files in SPfixpack.
