[IMG]@Screenrant Fallout 76 will be introducing cosmetic micotransactions while keeping the DLC free.

    ...

Documentary filmmakers NoClip released The Making of Fallout 76 and revealed some interesting details about what fans can expect. Remembered for overpriced DLC packages, Bethesda hopes to put the disastrous "Horse Armor" meme from Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion behind it through Fallout 76's cosmetic microtransactions instead of a pay-to-win style of gameplay. Promising that content will be free for "years to come," Fallout 76's DLCs will be powered by microtransactions as a clever way to keep gamers coming back for more.

New Vegas was a fairly worthy continuation. But yeah, there have been some pretty bad releases between Fallout 2 and now. BoS was pretty bad, but this 76 may be a new low.

New Vegas wasn't made by Bethesda though.

No, but it was a Fallout game, rather than Oblivion / Skyrim with guns. Some life in an otherwise dead series.

Just saying, Bethesda basically killed the series when they bought it. Only hope it has is for someone else to step in to develop the game, like Obsidian did, but that's unlikely to happen again.

They're just gonna keep pushing out sequels for the masses until the franchise grows too stale to market it.
