Had an interesting train journey to Southampton. At the change at Banbury there were two girls who were dense as two concrete blocks glued together. One of them looked at the clock on the station and asked loudly what the timer was for. Her friend then pointed out it wasn't counting down like most other timers.

I was undecided on whether or not to point out it was called a clock and it was hardly a modern device, but instead I put some loud music on. On the train they got on the quiet coach, as I did (music off now) and I got my laptop out to do a few minutes of work. They started talking and laughing - very loudly. Even commenting loudly "Why is everyone being so quiet?" and "What does Quiet zone mean?" and "Why are we the only ones talking?"

Thank god they got off after a couple of stops.

After that we got four stops warning that a wheelchair user would be getting on the train and to move luggage from the disabled space at the end of the carriage to make room. This couple had their stuff there and didn't move it. When the person got on the train and waited while they were asked to move their stuff they started getting INCREDIBLY angry! After all - The train staff make such a fuss about not leaving luggage unattended! Why should they have to move their luggage where they can't see it? Why should they use the cages provided with CCTV coverage? Why don't they **** off to another carriage where they can sit nearer their stupid bags and not cause such a fuss? They said they didn't see why they should move their stuff for a disabled person to sit on the train. WHILE THE GUY WAS SAT LISTENING.

    I was appalled.

I was sat behind them and after the (finally) moved their luggage they sat and the wife said "I guess we can't really blame them. I guess they have to travel some time."

I was also pissed off because I was travelling to get to university early on Monday evening to meet up with my group and they CANCELLED on me. Meaning we had to meet at 9am the next day for a 10am presentation. They screwed me over at every turn, including only one of the other three group members turning up and the one who did turn up complaining he didn't have enough information to present. COULD HAVE SAID SOMETHING IN THE SEVEN WEEKS WE HAD TO DO THIS IN.
