[IMG] Happy Canada Day to all of you who care, and (of course) esp. those who hail from the land of beaver. It's not very often when we get to celebrate being Canadian, so let's let loose today, and remember all the turmoil that has gone on seemingly everywhere else in the world except in Canada. A big shout to all U.S. citz who put up with our anti american bull**** with a sense of humour. You know we don't really mean it, after all. Let's have a good year to come, and here's to good relations all over the world, not only for Canucks, but for everyone else out there. Long live the work of Lester B. Pearson and may George W. find some peace in his heart in the months to come. Peace love and hapinness to everyone, except the queen, who has too much of it already. Screw her, and get her off my money.

ERK. You had me up until you bashed the Queen. I mean, really, can you think of a more harmless head of state anywhere in the world? A smiling, waving, powerless little old lady is exactly my idea of the perfect government. Anyway...

Happy Canada Day to you too, and to everyone. I love this country! I'm so glad to live here. The beer is great, there's lots of wildlife and undeveloped land, and the people are so relaxed. What more could you want from a country? (Other than less government, about which I think we agree. )

What turmoil going on in the world ? Well, happy Canada-day.

Question: If there were no ties to the Queen in England, wouldn't Canada just be part of the USA ?

JK Rowling has more money than the queen ... at least Newsweek said so (and they only lie 75% of the time ;) )

I can second that. Rowling is richer as the Queen. I guess that makes her the richest woman in the world.

I can't wait unitl Miss Rowling is moving to a famous tax-haven.

Richest woman in the UK, anyway - I bet JK Rowling doesn't have more more than Oprah. ;)

    Happy Canada Day!

Off-topic I know, Neither Oprah, the Queen or Rowlings belong there. Only L'oreal, Walmart and BMW. And further down the list, Heineken ! Link

I was just kidding around. I like the juxtaposition of my peaceful sentiments with putting the boot the ol' queen. She's a nice ol' gal really. Even if she did cost Vancouver 111,000 dollars for dropping a puck at a canucks game.

WOOOOOH! Canada is the best place that I've ever lived! Mind you it's the only place I've ever lived, though.

Trey Parker put it best in South Park: Bigger, Longer and Un-Cut..

"Blame Canada! It's not even a real country anyway!"

All sillyness aside, happy B-Day. One of America's greatest heroes "Super Dave Osborne" owes a lot to Canada....they provide the "canadian seal skin bindings" that he uses for his safety belts and straps!
