Started awakening and did a respec with those books to do a fix. Since then my damage went from 50/hit with each sword (keening blade and dumat's spine), to 6-10/hit.

Don't know if anyone's run into the same issue and found a fix, would prefer not start over :).

If it's relevant, every so often I get another random bug where a arrow is in my ranged slot with 2 melee weapons equipped. Sometimes it takes over the graphic for my offhand.

Did some more checking and my damage is normal with 1 weapon, but 1/4 with 2. Doesn't matter which 2.

Actually, also when I'm stripped down I have base 30 armor, 52 defense, +3 dex from nowhere... I think I figured it out... Apparently awakening loaded my character with the stats from the DLC gear I was wearing and stacked the starter gear on top of it. Gonna test this theory. Would also explain why I had 90% fatigue and 90 armor.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Anyone know a fix?

What format are you playing (PS3, Xbox or PC)? Do you have any mods?

One of the mods maybe causing the issue. I would try it with a clean install without any mods.
