    The two miniseries were great. But as for a new movie, no thanks. What they could do is a new miniseries on the books not yet covered by the previous two.

    If they had a budget like Game of Thrones, they could make an epic TV show.

    No faith in it as a movie though, not after last time. *shudder*

    I don't understand ... why do they even do this stuff? "There's this movie from the eighties that's just begging to be remade!" Really? A mediocre movie from the eighties needs to be remade? I just ... well ... no. That would be like remaking 'Red Dawn' or 'Karate Kid' or something. Who in god's name would ever think we needed that?

    Bite your tongue, DMC!

    They could be hoping to finally be able to do the novel justice. The mini- series weren't bad. But given the right director, actors, writers and SFX team, possibly they could make an acceptable film. But if just one of those elements screws up, then the movie will be another turd fest.

    If there's a movie out there that needs to be re-made, that movie would be "IT". The novel was fantastic, the TV miniseries sucked donkey testicles.

    I believe a really good job could be done if they just made sure old Steve was there to say "FFS, you twerps, that's a really stupid idea!"
