dual class & profs

    [​IMG] what happens if say youre a fighter with 2 proficiency points allocated to short sword. then you dual class to thief. starting as a level 1 thief, you "forget" all your previous proficiencies. now, if you add a single * to short sword as a thief, then when you regain your fighter skills later on, will you end up with 3 points in that weapon, or just 2?

    I believe it takes the best proficiency from your two classes (it doesn't add them), so you'd end up with 2.

    [​IMG] Yes, that´s one of the really illogical and annoying things about dualclassing - and the reason why I enjoy my imported dc char from BG-1 who doesn´t know this problem ;)

    You waste your slots when, after dualclassing, adding a prof slot in a weapon class you spent some slots before. Beware.
