[IMG] Well I really love druids, and thier spells and I love the shapeshifter. Im going to go through bg1 for the 5 or so time (I never tire) and go through bg2 with a Druid. So here I am wondering why is the shapeshifter graded so bad?

I mean when in Greater Werewolf form you get -10AC +3 attack and three attack per round. 21str 20dex and 25con. Sure thats no fighter but we gotta remember this is a druid! Cast extra spells before hand on urself THEN turn to a WW and u got a mass destruction machine.

So whats the deal, why not like this class

I would say that most people dislike because it's unable to wear armor, and that the normal werewolf form is not exactly the best fighter out there. (remember that a greater werewolf form can be obtained at level 13, so you're stuck with the normal form for about half of the game.) The shapeshifter has to switch between werewolf and caster, and there may be some necessary casting during combat, such as healing, offensive spells, etc. Personally, I think the shapeshifter class isn't so bad, but it does have its own drawbacks; it's not as versatile as the average druid; it's either non-combat oriented caster or ripping machine.
