Those days I'm trying not to be cheesy so I have a question:
Is it cheesy to pick pocket Drizzt's scimitars, especially with Garrick (starting pickpocket: 45%)?
Should you wait until you are strong enough (when?) to kill him?
Last day I considered that when my thief had 100% pickpocket, it wasn't cheesy.
But it seems the weapons are not available in all versions of the game, so probably Bioware thought it was cheesy all right :)

I think you can only get one of them that way.

If you want the better one (+5 Defender), you must kill him. You get the +4 Chain this way too... :D

I think you can also steal the Defender (+3THACO -2AC) just not too likely.

I don't see any cheesy thing in it. You see a dark elf of course you don't trust him. And if you are thief like, you are trying to gain gold or something...

Last day my thief (100% pickpocket) picked the two weapons (without failure), but I've seen somewhere that depending on the version, only one can be available.

In my game, I could pickpocket the frost brand, but a second try got "target has no valid items" or some such. Sucked, since the frost brand wasn't at all what I wanted. Still better than anything else I had at the time, though.
