Anyone else here feed their character some well deserved alcoholic beverage after yet another heroic act, like for example saving D'Arnise keep. I think they deserve it. Especially Minsc and Boo. They need some happy-time between the grim battles. Anyone agree? Care to recommend a beverage served in the many taverns of Amn anyone? And should I allow them to go find themselves some tavern wenches to have a good time with? I know they want to, but I think as the player I should restrict them a bit. Otherwise I might leave material for a third installment in the BG series (as discussed in the offspring of bhaalspawn thread) all over Amn. Comments are, as always, welcome.

I always drink till my character and viconia are intoxicated (a kickstarter for those nightly activities) ;) I usually have alot of gold, so I go for the most expensive one!

Lokken: Clever, never considered the possibility to lure a party member into the hay, keeping it inhouse so to speak. Wonder if it would work with two of them at the same time... :)

LOL! Well the only time I remember going out and having some rounds was after I finished off Kangaxx. I thought the whole party deserved so RnR at that point, so I went to the closest tavern and inn and drank my party silly :D Usually, well, no I don't...I got the gold; I usually just don't want to spend it on beer.

Being a dwarf, whenever I can remember I drink evryone in my party into unconciousness with the 1 GP ale before resting. A wee bittie night cap, an' if the elven ponces canna hack it and start falling out o' winders an' stuff it's their own dang fault!

After a particularly nasty battle, I tend to break out a can of beer for myself, or pop down the pub for a jar or two. Does that count? :D

I'll get my characters drunk. I do it on a whim. For instance, when I return to Athkatla from a trek across Amn. Or a long day of work (battling). These are times that I, myself, like to have a few drinks; so it seems fitting.

I'm thinking Viconia would be more than happy to comply, heh, regatdless of a few drinks. - She's a good sport :p :D :p

Hehe Lokken, you're lucky that even the most expensive beer in BG2 isn;t that Expensive as the beerprice in your Denmark, otherwise you wouldn't have had money to buy good items but you would use all for the beer :)

Whoa, beer isn't expensive in Denmark. Only in Sweden and Norway. Untill some years ago, it was even possible for children under the age of 15 to buy alcohol in an average supermarket.

Hehe yesterday on the chat, Lokken told me it's 2 dollars for half a liter beer and that's 3 times more expensive as it is in the Netherlands.

[IMG] I remember buying beers with 12% alcohol while I was in Russia for 10 rubles each! The exchange rate was 110 rubles to the dollar when I was there!!!! 1992.

Needless to say, we were drunken fools while in Russia. It was such a blast!

Getting back on topic, my fighters always get drunk before fighting a dragon. I can't really see the difference in their fighting abilities when they're dead drunk.

Beer in half litres.... the pint is dead? This happened in 1984(the book, not the year), and is the only thing the guy from before the revolution moaned about.
