    Has anyone ever finished the game without your main character dying at least once? I mean, surviving all the way to Irenicus in Chapter 7?

    I got as far as Chapter 3 with a self-created party that I thought unbeatable. Having finished BG2 three times now, I knew where the traps were located and who my next enemy was gonna be... yet I still got decimated by Pit Fiend!

    Is it even possible? Anyone care to find out?

    To not die the whole game you would probably have to be a mage or archer in the back lines.

    That's funny! The party I created consisted of four Archers, a Mage/Thief, and a Totemic Druid who supplied the fodder, yet still they were barbecued (stupid enclosed spaces!)

    But I made a newbie's mistake here (my arguments would be irrelevant).
    It won't happen again. Please, forgive me. I mean do that shorting so I get back my "never mourned enough for" Goblin Chief avatar, but take no hard feelings.

    Try a Kensai/mage with Celestial Fury, Level 9 kensai dual into a mage. I have beaten a red dragon in a one to one combat without useing cloud kill and i only use a level 9 kensai and dual level 10 mage.
