[IMG] I just updated my Geforce3 Ti200 to the 71.89 Detonator drivers (WinXP), and I've now got problems where everything worked great before. Oh, the irony!

In good old PS:T the characters will vanish every so often - their running/standing animation won't appear. Turning on Software Mirroring solves that, and all the spell anims are working that I know of.

But I'm still confused - why any glitches at all? Shouldn't newer drivers fix this sort of thing?

On a related note, anyone know where I can download old versions of WinXP Detonator drivers? :)

You will probably find it is the drivers causing the problem. Try www.guru3d.com for drivers - you will probably find that you would be better off with detonator v50? or 40? for that card.

Thanks for the help - I knew it was the new drivers that messed everything up, but didn't realise that relentlessly installing new software on my old card would hurt. Reinstalled some old Detonators and everything's fine.

Ah well - probably time for an upgrade in the next few years...

It's not the card, it's the drivers... I just had the same problem... nVidia IS notorious for 2D issues after all...
