It's been a while since I have tried to piece it all together but could someone remind me how the whole De Arnise/Roenall/Slavers/Twisted Rune connection goes down.

And could you also remind me of the supposed Firkraag connection, I can not recall if he is suppose to be part of this massive quest/side story what ever you can to call it, or not. Probably not, his quest seems big enough if you count in all the extra side bits, the werewolves next to the golems and Samia.

Sometimes I think the developers intended it to be an unfinished story; I wonder.

    The hints are these:

    - The slavers in Athkatla are all working for someone.
    - And guys in the Temple District, in the Guarded compound, might be in charge of this business.

    - The tanner in the Bridge District follows orders.
    - And Fael in the Umar Hills, who says "You have crossed the Rune, fool!" hints who it is.

    - Isaea in Nalia's quest is indeed tied to slavers, as is Deril in Cernd's quest, but they don't seem to play any important role - side characters, no more, no less.

    - Finally, the player stumbles into the Twisted Rune hideout(where the fabulous Staff of the Magi lies), and the story more or less ends there, rather abruptly, too.

Some existing mods(Baldurdash, for example) try to tie the loose ends together, but I've yet to see a mod where it has been done seamlessly.

I think it was Vlad who had done a complete story for this (tying up the loose ends, etc...) as a mod, but then he merged it with Tortured Souls.

Feel free to correct me if I am wrong. I am pretty sure it was him, but it could have been CBisson.

Either way, I'd love to have a copy of the ld stand-alone mod.
