David Farland books, any good?

    I just started reading the Runelords. Seems like an interesting twist on the use of magic. Can anyone recommend that I continue with more of Farland's works?

    I've read all of the Runelords novels (exept maybe the most recent one). As you say they're different and interesting reading, but I wouldn't categorize them as among my favorites. Worth the read I'd say.

    Two words: "hell" and "no".

    The first Runelords book is decent enough. The series, however, only decreases in quality.

    Although to be fair, he's nowhere near Goodkind's league.

    Anyway, yeah, the magic system is pretty cool. I just wish a substantially better author were responsible for it.

    Like BTA, I've read all of the books. While not being in my top ten, I have enjoyed them. They tend to average between a B- and a B+ depending on the book.

    Well, that's mixed reviews. Since 2 outta 3 say not bad, I will continue on. I am enjoying book one.
