How can I create creature as familliar? If I change It to Charmed/Controlled/Familliar game crashes. Can anyone help?

EDIT: also, is there anything which creates creatures?

I would start with an existing familiar as a template and eventually replace the existing familiar .CRE file with your own one. Then cast the spell (or use the potion/scroll trick) to summon the familiar into the game.
