I planned to go through BG2 again and decided to play as a dualclassed Swashbuckler/Mage. But after I wrote his background I realized that it would fit in far better if I made him an elf.

Only problem is, I've no idea how to create one. Perhaps I can use Shadowkeeper, but I've never used it before. I also know next to nothing about computers so can anyone tell me how to create one?

    Thanks.

I don't recommend it. Shadow Keeper is very simple to use, you shouldn't have any problems.

Just start a Human Swashbuckler. Play with him until he reached the right level and then Dual Class him to a mage. After that you make a savegame and load the savegame in Shadowkeeper. Go to characteristics or someting like that and change race into Elf. it's really a piece of cake and when that gives you more fun with playing, I do recommend it.

Note: It's important that you change race after Dual Classing, else the Dual Class option will notbe available.

Thanks guys. You're so fast :)

Just another little thing, can I give him 19 in dexterity also via shadowkeeper?

You can make all the fun go away with shadow keeper, so I think that also includes raising stat.

SK is a pretty fun program to use, I used it the change the apperance of my main character, just for kicks, althought I do believe that using it for making a class that cant be made normally or raising stats, makes the fun go away..some things are not meant to be altered, even if you have the means for it :) but hey your game your choice

I created a gnomish mc swashbuckler-mage; excellent and extremely versatile char :) When you go to ToB - just don't spend a slot on the hight level ability "assassination" ;)

mc-ing is fabulous, escpecially when you go to ToB, there I definitly favour it to dc-ing there.

  8. Without shadowkeeper, which I don't use and probably never will, you can't have an Elven Swashbuckler/Mage, but you can have a thief/mage with 19 dexerity.
By the way, I wouldn't recommend cheating your way through the game, even with a minor adjustment, it just ruins your experience.

In any case, it's your call. Have fun.
